Getting started with Worthberry
Your first ten minutes: set up your account, add your money, and see your net worth.
Welcome to the private beta. In about ten minutes you can have every account in one place and your net worth on one screen. Here's the quickest way through.
1. Create your account
- Open the invite link in your email and choose a password of at least 12 characters. A short phrase is easier to remember than a jumble.
- Confirm your email address from the message we send you. You need to do this before you can link a bank.
- Optional but recommended: turn on two-step sign-in in Settings → Security.
2. Add your money
Pick whatever suits you. You can mix all three.
- Link your banks and KiwiSaver through Akahu. Worthberry only reads them, our team never sees your balances, and balances and transactions then update by themselves. See how to link your bank.
- Import a statement as a CSV file from any NZ bank. See importing a statement.
- Add things by hand: your home, car, crypto, a KiwiSaver balance or a loan. Use Add on any page.
3. See your net worth
The Dashboard adds up everything you own and subtracts what you owe. It records a snapshot each day, so the chart fills in over time. Find out why net worth is the number to watch.
4. Set a budget that follows your pay
In Budgets, set weekly, fortnightly or monthly amounts for the categories you care about. Worthberry sorts transactions into categories for you, and learns when you change one. See budgets that follow your pay.
5. Make it yours
- Rearrange the dashboard: see build your dashboard.
- Set a goal, like a house deposit or an emergency fund: see set a goal.
