Cookie policy
Last updated 17 October 2026. Covers the Worthberry website and app.
- Worthberry doesn't use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, and has no third-party trackers.
- The app keeps a few things in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in and your settings stick. These are strictly necessary or remember choices you made, so there's no cookie banner.
- Pages run by others, like Stripe's checkout or your bank's sign-in screen, have their own cookie policies.
Cookies
The Worthberry website and app don't set any cookies. Our ads on the free plan come from partners we work with directly and are counted without cookies or any record of who saw them. See our privacy policy.
What we keep in your browser
The app uses your browser's local storage, which stays on your device and isn't sent with every request the way cookies are.
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
| worthberry.token | Keeps you signed in. Strictly necessary. | Until you sign out, or your session ends after 30 days |
| worthberry.local | Holds example data when you explore without an account. It never leaves your device. | Until you leave the example or clear your browser |
| worthberry.theme | Remembers light or dark mode. | Until you change it |
| worthberry.sidebar | Remembers whether the sidebar is open or minimised. | Until you change it |
| worthberry.accountsView | Remembers list or card view on Accounts. | Until you change it |
| worthberry.adHidden | Remembers ads you've hidden on the free plan. | For the visit |
An app installed to your home screen also keeps a copy of its own files so it opens quickly. It doesn't store your financial data there.
Pages run by other companies
- Stripe, when you pay for a plan, uses cookies on its own checkout and billing pages to process payments and prevent fraud.
- Akahu, when you link a bank, and your bank's own sign-in screen use their own cookies.
- Partner websites you visit by clicking an ad have their own policies.
Your choices
You can clear local storage at any time in your browser's settings. You'll be signed out and your display choices will reset. If we ever add cookies that aren't strictly necessary, we'll ask first and update this page.
