Set a goal and see when you'll get there

Save for a house deposit, a trip or anything else, and let Worthberry forecast the date.

Updated · 2 min read

Goals turn "one day" into a month and a year. Tell Worthberry what you're saving for and it works out when you'll get there from how you actually save. Goals are on Ripe and Harvest.

Add a goal

  1. Open Goals and press Add a goal.
  2. Pick what it's for: a house deposit, holiday, car, emergency fund, wedding or study. For anything else, choose Something else and type what it is.
  3. Enter a target amount and, if you have one, a date to reach it by.
  4. Choose the accounts that count towards it, or type in what you've saved so far.
  5. Optionally, enter what you put away each month.

How the forecast works

If you link accounts, the goal tracks their balances, so it moves on its own. The pace is what you said you put away each month or, if you left that empty, a share of what you've had left over in the last three months.

With a target date, each goal tells you whether you're on track and, if you're not, how much a month would get you there on time.

Getting there sooner

When a category runs well above your usual, the goal card points it out. For example, if eating out was $180 over your normal last month, it shows how much sooner you'd reach the goal if that went to your goal instead.

Forecasts are simple estimates. They assume your pace stays the same and leave out interest and price changes. They're there to help you plan, not financial advice.
